Belgian Army WW2
From the wiki Belgium in World War 2.
Despite being neutral at the start of World War II, Belgium and its colonial possessions found themselves at war after the country was invaded by German forces on 10 May 1940. After 18 days of fighting in which Belgian forces were pushed back into a small pocket in the north-west of the country, the Belgian military surrendered to the Germans, beginning an occupation that would endure until 1944. The surrender of 28 May was ordered by King Leopold III without the consultation of his government and sparked a political crisis after the war. Despite the capitulation, many Belgians managed to escape to the United Kingdom where they formed a government and army-in-exile on the Allied side.Saturday, 21 May 2022

The Campaign of the Belgian Army in 1940 From MGK Military Simulations
Jacqui Krause posted this on France 1940 wargaming.
This account of the Belgian Army in the eighteen-day campaign in 1940 has never been translated into English until now. Written in 1966 this book has a broader scope and includes access to German records. It includes excellent maps that track the eighteen-day campaign.
A glaring deficiency in the literature of the Second World War is a detailed history in English of the Belgian Army's experience in the eighteen day campaign in 1940. I eventually came to the conclusion that I would have to translate one myself. Here is one of the two I translated.

History Hit - Eben-Emael - The Underground Fortress That Should've Stopped Hitler
New documentary.
War historian James Rogers explores the massive fortress of Eben-Emael near Liege in Belgium. Covering 750,000 square metres, it was built in the 1930s and designed to stop the German advance into Western Europe. James investigates some of the massive remaining casemates that were packed with massive cannons and the latest in fortress technology. James will also find out about what happened when a group of just 78 German airborne troops landed on the fort in the first hours of Hitler's invasion of the West.
